Dear Ms. Kelly:
I did not remember the name of the representative I spoke with after holding for almost thirty minutes, but she explained there had been a problem with my credit card so the pants had not shipped. She took my credit card information again and said the pants would ship first thing Monday, arrive on Tuesday and I would only be charged $49.95 for the product.
My order arrived today, Tuesday, January 27, 2009. In fact, it arrived twice — two packages. One included an invoice with the order date of Wednesday, January 21, 2009, and totaled $71.93 (net product $49.95 and postage and handling $21.98). The second package included an invoice with the order date of Friday, January 23, 2009, and totaled $49.95 (net product). I quickly checked my banking account online and was alarmed to find I had been charged both $71.93 and $49.95 — a total of $121.88. I immediately called your customer service number. I could afford and had planned for the $71.93, but not the additional charge of $49.95.
I spoke with Janelle. She was polite, helpful and courteous — possibly the only positive point of my entire Junonia experience. She looked at my account and said she needed to speak with a supervisor. Apparently, none were available so she said she would call me back within the hour. I was skeptical, but she did call back. Again, points for Janelle.
Janelle was able to credit back the $21.95 postage and handling, but explained it would be up to ten days before it posted to my account. In addition, she could not credit back the product amount until the product was received, which I assume will take another ten days.
This is absurd. I have an additional amount riding on my bank account I had neither planned for or can afford, a charge that is not my fault. I will likely have to cut back my weekly trip to the grocery store to accommodate it — not a pleasant thought for woman who is 23 weeks pregnant.
Furthermore, the pants are ridiculously large. Despite my careful measuring, I’m quite certain four or five of me could fit inside one pair. And capris? I think not. I’m an average height of 5′6″, and the pants extend well past my feet.
This was the first time I placed an order with your company, and it will also be the last. I am incredibly disappointed because I had hoped I had found a new place to buy plus-size clothes — clothes designed with the active plus-size woman in mind, not just couch potatoes.
